HANNAH MANOUS
Instructor, Axis Dance Co
Hannah Manous graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southeastern Oklahoma State University
with a B.A. in psychology and a minor in dance. During her time at SOSU, Hannah was a
member of the SE Sparks Dance Team, the Honors Program, Alpha Psi Omega Theatre
Fraternity, and Alpha Chi National Honor Society.
Hannah first discovered her love for performing when her mother enrolled her in a dance class at
age 6. She continued taking dance classes there until graduating high school, and continued
taking dance classes throughout college for her minor. While in high school, Hannah also
enrolled in vocal lessons at Shawnda Rains Studios, and eventually became a member of
Stagestruck performance troupe and Red River Dancers. These entertainment groups gave her
the opportunities to perform on big stages in Nashville, Branson, and the John Ritter Showcase
in Carthage, TX, while also being able to perform at many local shows and events.
As a teacher, Hannah encourages her students to find and embrace their own style and
personality through dance and performance. She believes the performing arts teach children
creativity, self-confidence, and supports them in developing a better sense of who they are.
These skills not only help children to thrive, but they are also important characteristics that will
help them to be successful as adults - in all areas of their lives.
Hannah is currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program at SOSU. She
has plans to complete her master’s degree and become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
who specializes working with children and teens. She loves the kiddos she works with at Axis,
and loves that these classes provide them with a healthy outlet that encourages the development
of self-expression, physical and mental exercise, and gives them social experiences with peers
their age.
